Two friends met for a chat
They spoke of this, they spoke of that
But most of all about next doors' cat.
Upon the door step, in quite a state
A brown mouse that had met its' fate
This find most excessively irate.
On the plate to defrost, the chicken
Next thing, help its' gone missing
And next doors' cat, lips licking.
Scratched up earth was found
Flower seeds sown in the ground
Now they are no where around.
Out on the yard, stare and stare
Blackbird feathers everywhere
That next doors' cat just don't care.
Something will have to be done
Next doors' cat has too much fun.
