A thousand thousand
diamonds spread on
black velvet across forever
and ever.
-------------------
Cold winter nights,
gazing skyward, with big
lost eyes, just to stare
and to think.
-------------------
All senses trained up
toward the heavens and
toward the future,
watching.
-------------------
Peaceful, like numberless
waves on the beach
or the soft song of a
violin at sundown.
-------------------
Somewhere, clouds swirl
and rocks fall, the
world for worlds pushing
ever outwards.
-------------------
Below, held by a
holy quadnity to
the ground and wishing
for the moon.
-------------------
Gems and fancifuls
craved and desired
pale in comparison
to the luster that has watched.
