Her Fading Image

Poetry By: MiyaviManson
Poetry

We only speak when you so desire to
I only see you when you want to
When I need you the most, where are you?
If you ever miss me, well, now I don't want to...

You sigh and capture my attention
As your eyes drift aside, mine follow
Take me for a walk, I'm right beside you
No matter how steep the road might be

There is nothing you desire that I wouldn't give
Whisper my name, I'm listening
I'll catch your every tear
Tell you every word you want to hear

The years pass and we get older
Your true colours may shine or get duller
When I seek you out, I reach out for you
Only the echo of my voice remains.
