Poets and Happiness

Poetry By: mkkrinler
Poetry

I've read a lot of depressing things on Booksie lately.
And I'm feeling snarky at the same time.

Maybe it is true what they say

Poets only prosper when they are prey

Only the tortured soul

Only the weeping and discarded

Only the hurt and dying can scrawl with their blood a rhyme experienced in full

I say nay

Pain is one emotion

Pain is but a moment in forever

Pain comes to the poet be it from a woman or a seat with out a cushion

But maybe it is true what they say

Poets only prosper when they must pay
