Blade of the Heart

Poetry By: monster01trip

Dark and dreamy side of my poetry. The best so far, I think...

Blade of the Heart...

My heart burns

Everytime the blade twist and turns

I hate to admit that it hurts

It's so easy to get lost in the pain

Maybe it's safer to not act sane

I'm made to be left alone

Just me and my shadow

Nobody else is home

In my dreams, I'm in this huge meadow

You're there then you're gone and I'm left broken and shallow

My life passes by like an endless dream

All I wanna do is shut my eyes and scream

I turn around and get stabbed in the back

My lifeless body thrown in a sack

The scars in my life opened with a crack

I'm standing here in a bright light

Seeing everything in my peripheral sight

Craving the love of those I left behind

Even though they never were kind

My heart burns, this time I don't mind

Blade of the Heart
