It's hard when you stare a dark or sad time face to face, but thinking of it as a curse would make it alot harder to bear. There's always a candle or some form of light no matter the form it may take to help you through.
Keep your chin up the storm will soon pass.

Better to light a candle than to curse the darkness
There may be black outs where all the light is gone.
You would sit there and curse it all night long.
But it wouldn’t do any good, if you think the dark times are a curse,
you’ll see thinking this way, will make the sad times much worse.
You can always light a candle to uplift all the strife,
and continue walking beautifully, loving and enjoying life.
