the second of july
way back in 1843
they had a big tornado
down in charleston SC
although there are no reptiles
that are blessed with gear to fly
that day an alligator
simply fell out of the sky
some times it's raining cats and dog
and though that makes no sense
a snarling toothy gator
is a new experience
if visiting in charleston
when wild winds fill the sky
perhaps you'd better be on guard
for gators on the fly
