your eyes absorb the spectacle
and sound reverberates
you find your body trembles
as your mind anticipates
how wondrous is the majesty
full blown, the flashing hues
the rows of simple folding chairs
transformed to holy pews
the orchestra makes thunder
sent directly to your soul
it sends you on a journey
as you let it take control
a hundred thousand voices
seem to swell from on the stage
a long lost tale discovered
from a strange enchanting age
and you find you've been transported
to that far off foreign land
an opera with elephants
oh what could be more grand ?
