red had quickly come...grandma was a sickly one
dropped in at her home
basket there was strewn full of good food...oh oh oh oh
gran could not shove in...major food group medicine
dead now, was this crone
wolf, it seems, came into the picture...gro-oh oh-oan
and now red's gettin' ready to go..this wolf, she can't ignore

dang, dang...big wolf killed her grandma
how big, your eyes, she said
dang, dang...big wolf killed her grandma
so sad that grandmas's dead

he had climbed in bed...bonnet placed upon his head
ridin' hood annoyed
she saw through his ploy...an unpleasant sce-ee-ee-ene
though the wolf was gray...grandma never looked this way
red was not that blind
right away, she chimed...it just can't be so-oh-oh-oh
her gran had filled her life with such joy...this act was so unkind

dang, dang...big wolf killed her grandma
how big, your eyes, she said
dang, dang...big wolf killed her grandma
so sad that grandmas's dead

red was worrisome...thought she'd better hurry some
knew she had to go
or she might be stuck in a fix here...oh oh oh oh
she went rapidly...wolf then chased her happily
but mistaken, he (quite mistaken, he)
an axe man fellin' trees, ran to kill him...oh ho ho ho
and as a scream was leavin' his lips, the wolf fell down surprised

dang, dang...big wolf killed her grandma
how big, your eyes, she said
bang, bang, axe man killed that vermin
thank god that wolf is dead

big...bad...wolf..is...dead
