COLORS OF SHADOWS

is there color to your shadow ?

have you looked at it today ?

was it stained an inky black

or maybe subtle shades of gray ?

or perhaps your shadow's rosy

like a blossom in the sun

spilling out in joyous rapture

from the deeds that you have done

or maybe it is greenish

with your soul dissatisfied

quite spiteful, mean and envious

which tears you up inside

some shadows may be bluish

with a melancholy tone

some make their way along the path

so dreadfully alone

or perhaps your shadow's yellow

full of cowardice and fear

if you won't listen to the truth

then lies is all you'll hear

or maybe it is crimson

with the jagged edge of hate

a dragon with it's breath afire

it's rage to demonstrate

i find my shadow's purple

full of confidence of pride

that brings a gladness to my heart

and makes my smile grow wide
