completing, not competing

when one pushes, one pulls back
when one's grip loosens on the rope
the other takes up slack
to keep intact the circle
one must form a wider arc
and glow a little brighter
to illuminate the dark
to supplement one's partner
is essential, we must learn
if things dissolve in pieces
then the wheel can never turn
the two halves of the circle
will at times be different lengths
with fingers interlocking
it will double up the strength
completing, not competing
its a song that two must sing
assumption can be dangerous
so let your voices ring
