toe tappin' fun

a staple of the western

was the good ol' cowboy dance
with his spurs so brightly jingling
as his boots began to prance
it was not quite like a tango
or a mambo or a waltz
it was just a step they made up
as guys pointed out their faults
and the music that they followed
wasn't quite the normal kind
for it roared out from revolvers
as the bullets spat and whined
folks are careful when they're dancing
as to not step on some toes
but even more when ammo
is delivered by their foes
and those outlaws pulled their pistols
every time they got the chance
for there's nothing's more amusing
than to see a cowboy dance
