lee harvey oswald skedaddled to texas

in order to try out his trigger reflexes

the government trained him to be a sharp shooter

and shooting as well was a man named zapruder

but abe had a camera and lee had a weapon

and up in a warehouse lee harvey went steppin'

a coupla feet left and he would have hit jackie

and that would have been both obtrusive and tacky

while abe was intent on his film by the highway

a crack of the rifle and it was goodbye, babe

the crowd started panicking , frightful and nervous

while jackie was grabbed by the secretive service

then off to the doc, though the prez was not livin'

so out came a priest and the last rites were given

then lee left the loft and he started to zip it

but slowed down enough to shoot officer tippit

the cops took the hint and they started to chase him

so lee made a plan that would try and erase 'em

ducked into a movie but skipped on the ticket

the cops sauntered in and decided to check it

they say "war is hell", so is being arrested

they probed him a bit but no tale was digested

then lee took a bullet provided by ruby

if lee was a patsy, then jack was a booby

a short four years later, jack gave in to cancer

and fifty years later we still have no answer
