be careful when you dance with snakes

although the music charms
they may be bound to wrap around
since lacking legs or arms
the mambas love the sambas
while the boas like to twist
and in this trance they'll do the dance
till you cease to exist
a python does the tango
till the fangs go in your neck
and as they pulse, you may convulse
like in a discotheque
be wary of those moccasins
when light fantastic, tripped
for you'll be weak if up the creek
without a paddle, gripped
it's surely fun to ungulate
the body leaps and squirms
but cobra hoods reveal the goods
that bend you to their terms
the king of diamonds rocks you
he will rattle, roll and shake
so listen dear, there's danger near
when dancing with a snake
