did you ever wander out into the big black night
feel it wrap it's arms around you and you just can't fight

your nightmares have eaten your dreams
did you ever turn left when you should have turned right
should have walked into the sun back when the future looked bright
look out
maybe
your're coming apart at the seams
did you ever sit down and just submit to your fright
wish that you were someone else for maybe just one night
look out
maybe
you're playing on opposite teams
did you ever find a tunnel that absorbed all the light
like your eyes had been dissolved and you're deprived of your sight
look out
maybe
your lighthouse has snuffed out its beams
