we all require nutrition

from the moment of our birth
its mammaries or formula
that adds on to our girth
then later fruits and vegetables
that shoot up from the earth
but some partake of animals
to get their money's worth
but there are many people
that don't wish to do them harm
they won't be patronizing
spots like ol' mcdonald's farm
cause the thought of chewing critters
doesn't hold a speck of charm
but when animals eat people
it is cause for great alarm
our planet is so bountiful
with goods to get you through
from the waters of the rivers
to the crops that farmers grew
but it has it's little secrets
and there's some things you can't do
you can't swallow ocean water
though the sea can swallow you
