i'm a clam
i live in water
its clammy
i'm a bivalve
i want to let off steam here
come out of my shell a little
i don't have eyes
scallops do
they can keep them
i've seen enough of life
clams can live over 400 years
but right now ?
i wish i was a razor clam
what's up ?
my wife left me
like i said, i don't have eyes
but i have kidneys
a mouth
an anus
and a heart
until she broke it
she said ciao, dear
or something that sounded like that
she wanted pearls
left me for....
well, i won't bore you with the story
you can't mollify a mollusk
i became unhinged
once clams were worshipped
the moche people of peru depicted us in their art
the algonquians of eastern north america made wampum of us
now we just get eaten
not by the jewish community though
they say we aren't kosher
works for me
happy as a clam ?
the original expression was "happy as a clam at high tide"
when no one can get to us
i'm gonna clam up now
