we're made from different recipes
and nature stirs the pot
the passion, fire and attitude
will serve it nice and hot
i felt a tug upon me
and i now know what it meant
i've never seen your face
but yet i recognize your scent
a thousand songs are ringing
a cacophony, unbound
one's brain becomes all knotted
by the convoluted sound
a ear will pick up signals
but the mind must make the choice
i've never seen your face
but yet i recognize your voice
a myriad of people
but a finite set of souls
and after they are swallowed
may pop out of different holes
i see familiar features
in the midst of your disguise
i've never seen your face
but yet i recognize your eyes
our paths once intertwining
chose horizons, east and west
but things revolve in circles
and in time they manifest
these pieces came together
like the words inside a vow
i've never seen your face
but yet i recognize you now
