i've been waiting for some time
enough to write my feelings down
in syncopated rhyme
its time for you to move along
you must not hesitate
i make a little frown
for its impatiently i wait

are you ready to go out ?
i've been prepared a while now
and you're running late,no doubt
i can't believe you'd dawdle
for you know we have a date
i furrow up my brow
for it is breathlessly i wait
i'm waiting for you, darling
won't you come and take my hand ?
my eyes keep moving to the clock
i hope you understand
its time for your departure
let's not leave it up to fate
i'll pull you up beside me
for its heaven's where i wait
