the journey of discovery

the path to greater glory

may have sharp and twisted trails
persistence proves the answer
to who falls and who prevails
its time to find our inner strength
not leave things to the fates
we're two imperfect angels
looking for those pearly gates
the edges of our comfort
are the frontiers of free will
we've got to bend our back bones
or we'll never crest that hill
though we may catch our share of grief
there's wonders to behold
we're two imperfect angels
looking for those streets of gold
the clock hands are not sleeping
ever sweeping they will move
our feet must now do likewise
for we have our love to prove
there is always greater balance
when one's taken by the hand
we're two imperfect angels
looking for that promised land
for life is for the living
any day could be your last
no sense in moving slowly
when the end could come so fast
we shall walk the spines of mountains
we shall swim the seas of foam
we are two imperfect angels
looking for our final home
