remembered not, her face and hair

men's glances not raised high
erasing recognition
when she later passes by
the stripper who reveals herself
while dancing on her toes
will soon find out she fast becomes
invisible in clothes
the priest sits in the darkness
as you outline all your sin
he's just an disembodied voice
devoid of any skin
this man who takes confessions
and then penances, bestows
will find he's never collared, when
invisible in clothes
a tailor with a pixie wit
with royalty to soak
invited all the populace
to come and share his joke
the gullible poor emperor
as everybody knows
soon found out what it's like to be
invisible in clothes
