oh sometimes i'm a lincoln

and sometimes i'm a ford
sometimes i will be hated
and sometimes i'll be adored
a large majestic redwood
not a squatty little bush
perhaps you'll just say nix on me
and kick me in the tush
i may suck like a hoover
or with a broom, sweep clean
or just might face impeachment
for an act you'd call obscene
i may look like a gargoyle
or i might be pretty hot
and every twenty years or so
i'm liable to get shot
hopefully, a true man
not a piggy in a polk
someone with a cool edge
not a monumental joke
full of presidential power
in the night time, noon and morn
and i like eisenhower
he was in when i was born
