you're unsure of the rules

have been abusers, fakes and fools

whose young eyes are still glued shut

it takes too much to try
the suitors in your life
have let you down and made you cry
so when you hear "i love you"
you reply, "just let me be"
its hard for you to drop your guard
but take a chance with me
they say that love is blind
but given time, i'll find the tools
and ours will be a kitten
whose weak eyes burst into jewels
