will faith become so strong
that we will finally see his face ?
or is he so transparent
that we're headed for disgrace
is God so high above us
that we miss his sly disguise ?
i'm just a lamb of God
who's had the wool pulled o'er my eyes
in unity, there's strength
or so we're taught we should believe
but bonding to my brethren
is a thought i can't conceive
is God so high above us
that his children he will mock ?
i'm just a lamb of God
who's seemed to wander from the flock
they say God's understanding
i say, read your bible, friend
it only takes a notion
and this world he yearns to end
is God so high above us
that he must be always feared ?
i'm just a lamb of God
who hates the thought of being sheared
an afterlife in heaven
could this really be the case ?
i think his little children
will be wiped out with no trace
is God so high above us
that he'll use his foot to crunch ?
i'm just a lamb of God
that hopes that mutton won't be lunch
