music is my medicine
i draw it through my head again
and let it work it's magic act on me
it may be lilting symphony
or throbbing loud cacophony
whatever genre its required to be
i don't care if i'm stricken blind
if i have music in my mind
each color of the rainbow's there to view
and gravity is tossed away
its up inside the stars i play
i won't be back until the journey's through
i may get shivers down my spine
get moved to tears from time to time
while other times, my throat, with laughter, screams
and when i go to bed at night
i leave the radio on light
so rhapsodies can saturate my dreams
it grabbed me at an early age
it fed my mind and calmed my rage
i knew that i had found my truest friend
and by the time i leave this earth
i'll get my jukebox quarter's worth
and keep on dancing till the very end
