a slice of silliness

been harangued by a lemon meringue

and grappled with apples, lots
made mince meat out of mince meat
and made apes of apricots
all black and blue, left berries
and bostonians were creamed
i've broken many cherries
and made boysenberries scream
i've encountered custard, flustered
and subdued a keyed up lime
even some nice sweet potatoes
may start rhubarbs at some time
remarked, a cross-bunned shepherd
"do you want a pizza this ?"
i smacked him in the kidney
told him "shoo-fly" with that kiss
saw many pecans, weakened
and bananas i have punched
every day its like a contest
when i plow my way through lunch
