if bones could talk

what would they plea
would your foot bones say
don't tread on me ?
would ankles cry uncle
when you did the twist ?
would your arm get ticked
with a watch on your wrist ?
yes, there's phalanges
that's only your toes
no bones, but there's cartilage
inside your nose
there's also a hyoid
a free floating bone
that roams in your throat
in its own happy zone
there's three little bones
that exist in your ear
and they get to listen
to all that you hear
the hipbones have fun
when you go out to dance
your femur and tibia
fill out your pants
patellas and elbows
quite marvelous joints
these are the hinges
the bendable points
it comes to digestion ?
i'll tell you no fibs
you'll never have food
that is stuck to your ribs
you blame other people
for pains in the neck
but the cervical spine
is what makes you a wreck
so don't be a numskull
though bones in your head
the brain they protect
is the boss, so its said
