the sunset of our lifetimes
when the angels bow to pray
bring on the blended colors
the most beautiful of day
the burning sun is waning
and the night will leave us blind
it paints a vivid fare-ye-well
upon horizon's line
although the day is ending
there is mystery ahead
the secrets of the stars
will soon be dancing in our heads
so let us sway together
as the sun dips out of view
for this is the transition
and i've saved this dance for you
