its hard to be a divorcee
when my ex-husband lives with me
we signed the forms and tossed the rings
and now its just a fiscal thing
we share the home and share the rent
and even time in bed we've spent
but just for sleeping, not for fun
that part of our existence, done
he's like the warden of the jail
the slightest thing and he will rail
i play the lotto every week
and if i win, away i'll sneak
its independence that i want
no longer in a home, he'll haunt
one time i thought i'd be his wife
and he'd be mine for all my life
but now its just "if looks could kill
i'd polish off this unpaid bill"
