i thought we were the perfect pair
and meant to be since birth
but downward went the mercury
and brought me down to earth
she took off in her saturn
and she aimed it at the stars
i hollered, "oh great jupiter"
my venus went to mars
to me she was the sun and moon
the stars weren't right, i guess
the flaming of our comet
petered out to my distress
my sea of pure tranquility
is cratered now with scars
i need a good orion's belt
my venus went to mars
