they say on august fourteenth
when the lion is the sign
is the day you must be wary
of the fearsome violentine
like cupid has gone stupid
and becomes no friend of thine
in your heart, there may come lurking
the unnerving violentine
his stench will leave you reeling
on your soul he'll try to dine
if you run he'll surely catch you
the revolting violentine
when the burning fumes of brimstone
and the acid rain combine
that becomes the perfect mixture
for the deadly violentine
he'll knock the polish off you
if you dare to take a shine
for as callous as a horse shoe
is the loathsome violentine
so let your joy be boundless
keep your love for others fine
and ye shall not be bothered
by the gruesome violentine
