any scientist will tell you
that a heart's eleven ounces
but all of that may change
whenever love rears up and pounces
for your heart becomes much lighter
when its filled with so much warming
and one's gravity's reversed
whenever flames of love are forming
and your heart will soon be weightless
equilibrium's been shifted
and it might just float away
if little wings, your heart, is gifted
any scientist will tell you
that a human brain's three pounds
but all of that may change
each time a song of love resounds
for your mind becomes much lighter
when it senses love is looming
and no longer does it rule
when certain fragrances are blooming
and your brain may soon be useless
at this quite dramatic junction
though it used to run your world
your heart will now provide this function
