my life will be so wonderful

in fact it will be great
there's only one thing that i lack
and i just cannot wait
i'm certain i'll attain it
'fore they stuff me in the fridge
and i can meet my maker
when i own the brooklyn bridge
i often have admired it
what a masterpiece of art
its built so doggone sturdy
it will never fall apart
and i'll throw a massive party
don't you call it sacrilege
i know you will be coming
when i own the brooklyn bridge
i don't desire a mansion
or a fancy french chateau
the taj mahal won't cut it
and forget the alamo
you can keep your haciendas
and log cabins on the ridge
i'll be the top banana
when i own the brooklyn bridge
