The rising sun lights up the sky
Yellow orange and red
In his burrow little rabbit
Lifts his lazy head
Morning mist across the water
Where regal swans glide along
All around the world awakes
To the sounds of sweet bird song
Beyond the field of lush green grass
Still wet with morning dew
In the wood the flower buds open
Nature’s carpet of blue
New green leaves adorn the trees
Eggs hatch within the nest
Snowdrops show that spring is near
The season I like best.

I like this time of year too.....and i have to say this has to be your best poem i have read so far.....it was written well rhymed well and exspelled well...really beautiful poem......More PLEASE Juliet

Moonwitch, this is a wonderful poem! oh boy am I getting spring fever now :) it is so nice here this weekend in southwest mn. about 40 degrees...so am hoping sping to start rolling in, anyhow this gave me a taste of it inside my mind :) thanks* katie
