There is no fire to warm my heart.

There is no glacier to soothe my soul.

For I am what comes of pain and suffering.

I am the one who suffers in silence.

But when my burden grows too great to bear,

There is no place for me to hide.

No person to share my pain.

No friend to help me through the darkness.

I am the one who suffers in silence.

I am the one with a heart of frozen fire.

A heart of burning crystal, a heart that does not exist.

I am the great masquerader. I wear masks of lies and masks of deception.

I wear masks of emotion and masks that one cannot see.

I am the one who suffers in silence.
