The ramblings of an anorexic mind

I'm not sure how it happened

That you became my friend

I knew you'd never leave me

You'd stay until the end

When chaos loomed around me

Id curl up on my bed

There you gladly joined me

Snug inside my head.

With every passing saviour

Who thought they had a cure

Along you came behind them

With a bigger, stronger door.

The more time spent together

The more our lives entwined

Why would I trust in anyone

Who couldn't trust my mind?

Life became quite hectic

Sort of like a game

Every waking moment

Spent upon my aim

My body ached for it to end

But were where you...?

My only friend.

With every barrier

I pushed through

Your spirit and mind

Just grew and grew

Id grown so weak

And formed a shell

You'd given me...

A secret hell

Even now a long time on

I know you've never really gone...

When I'm lying on my bed

I try to shut you out my head.
