I lay half asleep cosy in my bed,
An angel came from heaven,
Whispered in my ear,
Happiness is on the way,
It’s coming to you next year,
You have suffered more
Than you deserve,
Life’s rocky now
With stress and pain,
But strive towards
The New Years Light,
Next year will be alright,
The Sun will shine
Your heart will glow,
Happiness you will know,
You will share it with
Your loved ones,
Have faith in god above,
This message is sent with LOVE
Yet it’s time for me to go,
I wake next morning
Feeling a sense of melancholy,
Bells will RingThen may be the Angels
It did not feel like a DREAM
It felt so real,
Yet time will tell
It’s not far away,
So when New Years here
Words will begin.
