MY DAD AND ME
My Dad you’re just like a stranger
I seem to not know you anymore,
No so long ago I felt your love
It was beautiful and glorious
Yet now it’s been forgot,
I remember, your visits each week with love,
You gave me life and strength,
With you there I knew life would
Help me through the lonely days
You would catch, my tears I may shed,
I remember your ways,
My darling, you would call me,
Hug me tenderly
Oh how I long for those days,
Dad please where did you go?
I miss that dad I used to know,
The one I Have now makes me feel
Alone and that you don’t care,
I know you may love your new love
But somewhere in your heart
Please can you come to see me?
Laugh with me, Joke with me,
Be my Dad like it used to be
Please Dad don’t be a stranger to me,
Come give some love like it used to be.
My wedding looms yet without your love
I feel it’s not to be my dream day,
You know the one you used to say
Will be perfect in every way,
Please dad understand me when I say
I truly love you
Don’t be a stranger today or any other day,
Please let’s share our love,
Together, for life’s so short,
For our hearts to drift away.
