Another day has ended and home I start to go,

The traffics heavy with cars going only where the drivers know,

It starts to rain that’s all I need after the day that I’ve just had,

It’s poring now getting hard to see,

The car in front it breaks I nearly hit him hard,

Slow down I thought let the others race,

I will get home eventually.

Driving down towards my front door what will be there tonight.

A happy greeting or a drunken bum,

I park the car and take a breath,

Turn the key in the door tense again,

No more I thought this time you can go,

I walked into the lounge and there you are,

Sat perch upon your throne again,

A beer in one hand the TV remote in the other.

I stood still for a moment and just stared,

Is this what life is all bout,

No there has to be something better out there,

I stood so tall and proud and spoke these words to you,

“If you don’t leave this house I will end up hating you”

I got a reaction straight away.

He said “But why”

I said “it’s plain to see the drink and you plus the TV there’s just seems no place for me”.

Thankyou clarissa for your wonderful comments

So it seems we all endure such hardships and pain. Sometimes I want to give up, but I can't. I've seen and have beauty in my life. I and everyone else will prevail.
