Slipping slowly day descends, turning into night
Closing our thoughts, of another day,

We lay our heads upon our pillows,
Drift into the mysteries of a silent sleep,

Waking only to a new dawn and new thoughts begin,
As the day ticks by, the new and old thoughts entwine,

Excitement and boredom taking us down,
Towards another path in life,

Destiny in our mists, happiness we grasp,
Sorrow we try not to let it last,

Love to fill our aching hearts,
Learning as we travel

Through these misty paths of life
Every day an adventure, this then turns into night,

Like branches on a tree reaching out for strength,
From the sunlight that they breathe,

Life’s just a path of mystery which ever way we go
Yet those paths of life that we choose affecting all we know

Yet which ever way we choose, in our hearts and in our minds,
We learn from the twisting paths of life,

FOR WITHOUT THEM WHAT WOULD WE HAVE LEARNT?

Excellent write Juliet.
Personally I like to get off the path evey now and again and emerse myself in the dense thicket .It's there where the Truly unknown resides.

Yay! Another excellent poem!!! Keep writing, I'm enjoying these. This almost reminds me of The Road Not Taken (Robert Frost), only brighter and not quite as solemn :)
