THE WEED
I sit looking at you
I know you’re saying back to me
“Pick me up, go on light me”
I resist your temptation,
Distract my mind to something else,
Yet the little monsters in my head
“Say light it, we need it”
I still look away,
Thinking, of that day,
You came took hold of me,
You little weed,
Ok I give in, and light you,
Yet you taste like horrid glue,
One day I know
I will get rid of you,
Then I will smell sweet,
Be a little better off,
Live a little longer,
This weed I know
Has got to go,
I’ll set my goal,
New Year I feel,
Say goodbye to this weed,
For if truth were known
It’s a need this horrid little weed!!!
But I will cut myself free
Because this weed
I will no longer Feed !!!!!
