A wonderful and powerful poem. Very restrained description "this arms a bloody pain" but that makes it all the more powerful.
I know what you mean when you say you can't remember a day without this pain.
I hope you have lighter days and are free from pain very soon.
Peace

Juliet this sounds like it is from experience. Have you tried fish oil supplements? (Dr Anna Theresa!!) My knee has been sending me mental for weeks, in desperation began the fish oil and placebo or no improvement is coming. I understand what you say though, there are others dragging along on one leg so who am I to complain. Nice poem, really like it.

I wish this wasn't written from personal experience!! A good read, Juliet. Hope you can soon write a poem about what it is like to be pain free again!! Cheers.....Jerry

Anyone who has been through chronic pain can sympathize. I can feel your frustration - all you want it your body to behave. Hope things are going better. Nice job!

Well written. I like the way that gratitude overcomes self pity at the end -- but the pain is still there.

...Oh friend, I have been there too...you describe this plight so well and in reading it, I was reminded of my own similar circumstances...I pray for your recovery and praise your bravery in the battle...
