PATHOS OF A PEERLESS UNION
ARVIND K. PANDEY
She is as rea1 as last words before death
Thoughts of her-like a smile after pain
Interwoven in my life as threads in clothes ;
Let us be together and form a union
Or thou will be a cloud without rain.
Aging vigour needs an intimacy
As seconds in the company of an hour
Come and give me the support a skeleton gives the body;
Warm breezes around me have sprinkled my emotions
Like a torn piece of paper;
0 blossomed virgin of heaven, hurry, collect them
Before it touch the sky.
Here hopes die before their release
Senses have long ago stopped paying tribute to their master;
Betrayal failing to cast its shadow, untouched by it scissors
Left in the chambers of heart are dreams and memories;
Together have prepared a catalogue of happiness
Come and share before fades the shining mirror.
Traveled far on road of destiny
Still with it turns unfamiliar;
Heart is now clasped in tentacles of faith
Its tender emotions wish to make your seed potent;
Eyes are packed with brightest vision
Doors of the ears ready to be knocked by softest voices
All stare at your way eagerly.
I will embrace your tightly in my arms
Which will create a sight that for ages the earth
And sky will love to give its account;
An act which history will never repeat
Will want to keep it safe forever in its breast.
