Distraught she turns around to see that he's not there

no one in the living room just a leather sofa and a chair

the bedroom has an emptiness touched by time and space

on her cheek she feels wetness as tears roll down her face

as she wanders through the big old house from room to room the same

she understands that never again, he will call out her name

as empty as the house is now so does her soul to feels

she lifts a glass and swallow all the pills in hopes that pain heels
