Black Rose

I watch him trough the day

Because it’s black killing the daylight

And I lose him through the night

Because he disappears far, far away.

This black rose for me to gain

He’s a symbol of a great pain,

Pain for me to breath even if in vain,

This black rose, my only real friend.

And I wouldn’t change anything at all

Not even the tears I’ve had before.

These black petals keep falling more and more

Until there’s nothing left, nothing at all.

You’ve fallen my friend just like me before

But it’s okay because you’ll rise again.

Your spikes will grow, you won’t feel pain,

And no one will be able to hurt you anymore.

P.S.: An ode to black roses, symbols of love, deceit, death and many other things. Every person sees something different so an ode to us all and the things that make us special.
