You can't really be with someone if you're relationship's based on lies. Just sayin'.

Beneath Your Beautiful Lies

Living happily, being together in love, that’s what we were.

Through the day, we spent all our time together, and after, we owned the night.

No sadness or anger could get in our way; we were too in love.

It shielded us, protecting us from the real world that awaited us through the thick,

And not the thin we were used to.

But when the shield was finally broken, by an outsider of all things,

What was left to protect us, and our love?

Damaged and broken we were, as we watched our lives fall beneath us.

I viewed as fun, lively, and you were so beautiful in my eyes.

Yet what you called “our love” was nothing but a sick part of your “beautifulness”.

Your lies, the ones that had built our very foundation, have finally showed their true faces.

How could this happen, how could our love not survive everything we anticipated?

We— no, I, finally realized that lies can’t hold our future together.

And by the beginning, we could never even have a future.

Maybe I loved you, and maybe you once did too, but not anymore.

Beneath all your beautiful lies,

We have nothing.

Nothing but stupid, dirty lies.
