Lost In the Dark Shadows
Being lost in the shadows,
Is as mundane as the “normal” daily life of the average human.
Faded away into the darkness,
When was I ever only apart of the light?
Instead, I’ve never been wholly light, and the darkness seeped its way in.
Lost in the past,
Where time slows down to f o r e v e r.
Frozen, stuck, and trapped inside this vortex of emergence.
I won’t ever find my way to the present, for it doesn’t welcome the darkness I bring.
And forever, the dark black hole inside me swirls,
Taking away every part of the small essence I used to have.
But I couldn’t cling to anything but the darkness,
For it is always there.
What else would hope proclaim to?
So, instead, lost in the shadows I’ll always be.
