Moon Lit Night
With the sun no longer shining in
And the day has grown weary.
Stars are burning bright,
But the night is still unwelcome.
Many are awaiting for night to come, for their terror to begin.
But suddenly, thunder and clouds roll across the sky, covering the seemingly bright stars.
A crack of lightning cracks through the clouds, striking the grass.
This had not been expected.
What had happened to the once quiet, calm night?
The thunder is on its own, cursing and rueing the day of its birth.
Never alone, will the day settle on its own axis.
Instead, the night is ruler now, ruler of all that dare scatters across its path.
Rain bounds, thunder booms, and lightning strikes its mark.
What a glorious night, for the earth to be ruled by the dark storms.
A good night it will be,
For the thunder and darkness that has become me.
