The object of your love, staring directly at you. How much more beautiful can it be?

Once For a Time

Once, just one time, our eyes would lock.

We would look straight at each other, and stare right into each other’s eyes.

Your brown eyes, so warm and forgiving…

But what do you see in my mine? My true soul?

A soul filled with shame, regret, and sadness.

Or would you see the other light side?

The side with joy and happiness that was directed towards you whenever you entered my mind. Would you see that side?

Would you judge me, for that time being, when we gazed into each others souls?

Or would you be too afraid to stare for much longer, and turn away from me?

I know that you would turn away from, and a part inside of me would wilt and die like a flower.

But maybe, just one time, we could see each other for our true selves,

And everything would be perfect for the each of us,

Just one more time.
