There Is No Such Thing as Love

“There’s no such thing as love.”

Is there a reason to disagree?

Why should the word “love” mean anything to human kind?

Love, what is the definition?

Why is it commonly discussed and dissected,

And why can’t we drop it?

The thought of having such a strong spectrum of emotions towards someone,

That is not love.

Love is another word for anger and hate.

Hate is not the opposite.

Hate is the answer, the calling of love.

Love brings upon hate for war,

Yet they are at a balanced equilibrium.

Can’t one side overpower the other, and end this war that isn’t necessary?

Does there have to be love;

Why can’t hate reign over all?

True believers in love they say;

They are fools.

Love isn’t trustworthy, it isn’t infallible,

It is only the call that brings forth the hate.

Why, hate should be brought forth without any call.
